Not getting that joke.

I think that a transmitter, if powerful enough, or close enough, transmitting at around that frequency can disrupt the signal between the drivers remote fob to the car.

Ooops, why won't my car unlock.  :chinscratch:   ;)

Nope, it's a legitimate 70cm Ham frequency, not the Hams fault that most car manufacturers decided to programme their central locking systems on legal Ham frequencies or near enough that it affects them.

It may be a legal Ham frequency, but all depends on intent and jammers are illegal in the UK, but you could cause mayhem with one of those cheap Beofang radios :chinscratch:

Even if it's legal the terms of the licence dictate otherwise.

and the US I know but other equipment as well.....

The interference source turned out to be a recently replaced neon sign switching-mode power supply, which was generating a substantial signal within the on-street parking area just across the sidewalk, between 8 and 40 feet from the sign.

Yes the feckwits should have stayed clear of 433Mhz and maybe RF altogether.

Good info Jim, My comment was just tongue in cheek humour .

I don't do these things to people, I have much more important things in life to do.... put a few stickers on the cars that park in disabled bays without a blue badge. ;)

Almost wide enough for two cars, and they still can't get it between the lines.

I thought of you Bob when I looked at my snap of my car when I arrived in Margate the other day - all those empty spaces and I still couldn't park properly.

This is not as bad as it looks - the engine was running and I only got out to take a picture of my car.

I'm in a good-natured challenge with a friend of mine to drive the length of the first 99 A roads (A1-A99) and this was the A28 ticked off my list.
